July 26, 2012: MailTags 3.1 - Mountain Lion (OS X 10.8) Issues

The following is a non-exhaustive list of issues reported by users upon upgrading to OS X 10.8

Current Versions

(July 28, 2012)

OmniFocus Integration

Installing the Omnifocus Clip-o-tron 3000 rule may display a message instructing users to uninstall MailTags and reinstall after the rule has been set up. This will persist. The issue is apparently in Omnifocus and Omni is hard at work on a fix. They have posted some workarounds: http://www.omnigroup.com/support/omnifocus-mtn-lion (July 28, 2012)

Missing Registration

Some users have reported MailTags is starting up as unregistered. This is a problem with the installer not properly migrating MailTags preferences to the disk location necessary for sandboxing on OS X 10.8. More details and a solution is in our knowlege base (July 28, 2012)

Missing Tag Icon

Users are reporting that the familiar Tag Icon to the right of the message is missing. This is not so much as a bug but a new feature in which MailTags display tag data beneath messages. More details and Options here (July 28, 2012)
