How to create a text edit box for notes

The notes field is intended for short one paragraph notes the size of twitter entries. At the moment it's not possible to edit text directly in the notes field, e.g., indent or skip lines. Moreover, automatically typing, hitting return, and then typing some more can result in parts of a note inadvertently getting erased.

The workaround is to create a text edit box for notes.

• To create a text edit box simply click on the little grey square underneath the notes field.

• Use the text edit box to type and edit your text as you would normally.

• To enter your edited text into the notes field simply click on the notes field, or use the keystroke sequence command-return.

• To cancel the edit box use the escape key.
