    HI Russ,

Keywords can help you to better manage and act on your email. Which is why the list of default keywords in MailTAgs are words like @action, @waiting, @followup. It's an idea that works well with the popular GTA system (Getting Things Done).

Project tags on the other hand, help you to easily identify your mail messages with on-going work, home or school projects.

Keyword and Project tags work well in conjunction with one another, especially for group projects.

So for example, you can make a Project tag called 'Science Fair Project 2010' (in the smart folder called 'Science Fair Project', and then identify, and see at a glance, the messages that require followup (i.e., questions that need to be answered), and those that need a response from other people.

Plus, you can always add other keywords as you go along.
