Since the color swatch for projects has been added, I cannot type in the project name to enter it. Downloaded MailTags3.0b1717.dmg from the other thread regarding this problem but it did not resolve the issue.

Are you hitting the down arrow to show the menu and then typing -- or just typing?

I was just typing as I'd gotten used to that in the previous version.

Hitting the down arrow and then typing works; I'll get adjusted to the extra step.

    Thanks!

You should still be able to type the first few characters even when the menu hasn't popped open

When I tab from Keyword to Project, nothing happens if I start typing. If I hit the down arrow, as you suggested in the previous email, the menu pops open and then it works.

can you describe what the expected behaviour/response should be -- and does that expected response work with the importance popup?

The expected behavior is as follows:

    1. Type a few letters into keyword and have it auto-fill (that works),
    2. Tab to project and type a few letters and have it auto-fill (does NOT work unless I hit the arrow first to open the list),
    3. Tab to importance and type a letter to auto-fill (that does work).

Do you expect the menu to popup when you start typing or do you just expect it to select the item matching what you type.

Reason I am asking is that I find that typing will select the item but there seems to be a delay of about a second.

This works the same with project as it does with importance so I don't know if this is anything new since I added the color swatch

I just expect it to select the item matching, the way that Importance does. However, it doesn't. I've tried waiting a second after I start typing and nothing happens. I've tried tabbing to importance and setting that then tabbing back and waiting a second before typing and that doesn't work either. The only thing that is working is to use the arrow key to open the menu and then type.

FWIW, I'm on MailTags version 3.0b1717.
